EDUCATION

B.S from Northeastern University

I began my collegiate career with a semester aboard at University College of Dublin, in Ireland. Following, I studied at Northeastern University in Boston.

Spanning from the TV broadcast studio to intimate discussions critiquing communication intervention, I focused on classes which highlighted concrete interpersonal communication theory and technical production skills. I earned a minor in Spanish Language as a means to continue my formal language education and improve my conversational fluency.

Further, I had the opportunity to participate in two work study experiences during my time. The first with ESPN, where I worked as an assistant to a senior producer, and the second with Give & Surf, a non-profit organization in Bocas del Toro, Panama, where I lived and volunteered.

  • Over the course of my time at university I wrote multiple academic papers analyzing unique aspects of interpersonal communication, either through a personal or media focused lens. My work includes, “Social Identity Theory and In-Group/Out-Group Bias” (COMM 3532), “The Risks of Influencer Sponsored Paid Promotional Content: A Proposed Policy Solution” (COMM 3409), and my capstone project “The Happiness Project: Everyday Interventions Intended to Cultivate Long Term Happiness” (COMM 4530). I include this research here in my portfolio because each paper furthered my knowledge on interpersonal communication, a skill which lies at the heart of any production.
